Sugar Free Iced Mocha

How many times do we start to “crash” in the afternoon? Hellllooooo, always!  I don’t want to reach for something that is full of calories and sugar and I do love my coffee {I can actually drink it late in the day and still sleep}.  Well my body was feeling it yesterday so I took a look around the kitchen and wondered what could I make to help me through the day, besides just a cup of coffee.


  • Silk Zero Sugar Almond Milk
  • Ice
  • Ghirardelli Unsweetened Zero Sugar Cocoa
  • Cold Coffee {from the morning}
  • Cinnamon

Super easy {no I did not measure} just went with what I felt good with.  Added everything to the blender and there you have it.  I like how it “chunked” up like an ice smoothie, but melted down.  I also LOVE that is was entirely SUGAR FREE! 🙂


What do you go for in the afternoon when needing a quick pick up?  Are you smart about your choices?

I am an awful afternoon snacker. If I don’t have something pre-planned, I grab potato chips (which I actually don’t even really like), or popcorn (which wouldn’t be so bad if it were a single serving size I eat)…

  3. What a great idea! I did a sugar detox last week (cutting out all added sugars) and was amazed that I no longer had an afternoon crash. I cheated on the weekend but felt so good last week that I’m doing it again this week. I’ll have to try your creation!

  4. This looks delicious! Can’t wait until it warms up a bit here (the snow is falling again today) to give this a try. Reminds me of the Arby’s Jamocha shake but so much healthier! 🙂
