iHealth and Our Blood Pressure

I am pretty excited to be sharing the iHealth Wireless Blood Pressure Wrist Monitor.  Thanks to the folks over at iHealth, I was sent their device to keep and try out.  This was pretty exciting for me because it was like getting a new toy to play with, however this “new toy” is going to be great to help manage and watch our blood pressure.  This company designs innovative, mobile personal healthcare products for everyone.

So check this out…

It comes packaged in box that is easy to keep the monitor safe, clean and won’t take up space.  You are able to take your blood pressure quickly and easily with the cuff band.  The product works with a free iHealth mobile app and allows you to  measure and track your systolic/diastolic numbers, heart rate, pulse wave and measurement time. Then share your results instantly.

American heart month was last month, but that does not mean that we should not be keeping up on our health and monitoring our bodies often.  Some keys and tips to a Healthy Heart

  • Know your blood pressure: High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why it is also referred to as the “silent killer.” By checking your blood pressure regularly at home, you have a greater chance of maintaining healthy blood pressure or getting it under control.
  •  Exercise regularly: Physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight and help lower your blood pressure.
  • Don’t smoke: Cigarette smokers are 2–4 times more likely to develop coronary heart disease than nonsmokers.
  •  Maintain a healthy weight and diet: Determine your healthy weight range and choose healthy foods to help you avoid heart disease.

iHealth and it’s products are so user friendly, go check them out…

Thank you to iHealth and Fit Approach for this opportunity.  We are a  healthy family.

*Have you ever used a blood pressure/monitor machine at home?  Have you seen or heard of a “sleep tracker”?  Do you stay on top of your heart and blood pressure?

  1. I really one want one of these bad boys. I have hypertension and the doctors cannot figure out why. I’m on medication and have to monitor my BP daily. I have a machine but this would make my life so much easier!

  3. This looks fun! I would love to track my sleep. That is so mysterious to me.

  4. Very cool. I have never used one, mainly since I have very low blood pressure and every time I go to the Drs they tell me it is because I run/work out so much. I’d LOVE to track my sleep though!

  6. I would really like this too. My primary has diagnosed me with white coat and my blood pressure is so different before and after my appointment. It can really fluctuate at other times, but I am diabetic and would be interested in seeing how it is during my day and sleep. I would especially like to see what it is when I am not thinking about or know I am taking it.

  7. I didn’t even know this product existed – how very very cool!!! 🙂

As for staying on top of my blood pressure and heart rate, I’m young and fairly healthy so I’ll admit I only really get it checked at the Doctor’s office. On the whole though, I can tell when things are off and do something about it!
