Zooma Half Marathon in Napa Valley…Enough Said

I am so super jazzed to be announcing that I am an official ambassador for the 2014 Napa Valley Zooma Women’s Race Series! {woop woop}.  This is perfect, the race is literally in my back yard {yes I live right in the wine country} and I have had my half marathon goal on my bucket list for the last two years.  This is a sign that it is time.

You know you want to be here for this {who wouldn’t}.  This is a great girl friend getaway weekend OR a weekend with that someone special.  Either way, you will be in wine country.

ZOOMA’s newest fit girlfriends’ getaway will treat you to a scenic half marathon or 10K race in the luxurious Napa Valley.  The race starts and finishes near the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa, our host resort, and runs on mostly flat terrain with awe-inspiring views of the vineyards and the mountain ranges that create the Valley.

*Some perks that come along with the registration…

  • Entry into a scenic, professionally-managed, and timed half marathon or 10K race
  • Access to full fit girls weekend schedule – a Fitness Expo, an Honest Tea Mocktail Party, and an After-Party Expo featuring wine, post-race massages, shopping, and music
  • ZOOMA Signature Swag Bag (over $50 value)
  • Water and Cytomax Sports Performance drink stationed along the course and at the finish line

  • A medal with detachable charm for half marathon finishers (pictured below), and a medal for 10K finishers
  • Access to special room rates at the official race hotel, the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa

The ZOOMA Napa Valley half marathon is a flat, scenic, out-and-back course starting near the Napa Valley Marriott in Napa, CA.  The course starts and finishes near the Napa Valley Marriott and runs on (mostly) flat roads along the Napa Valley. You’ll run past vineyards and see awe-inspiring views of the mountains to your left and right as you run in nearly perfect race conditions.

ZOOMA Ambassador Badge 2014Get your calendars out and mark the date Saturday, June 28th 2014.  Click here to register for the race {use the discount code NAMB7 for 10% off your registration} for either race, the half marathon OR the 10k {expires 6/25/14} and tell your friends.  The race will cap at 2000 and the wine country is a hot spot for everyone to want to come and visit, so hurry.

I am training my heart for this race and I am determined to finish OR find myself sitting patio side at one of the amazing wineries sipping on a good glass of wine. I am so excited to meet my fellow ambassadors from the area and near by and celebrate one another in our goals.  This is going to be an amazing weekend…SO are you coming?

*Are you planning on attending this race?  Have you been to the Napa/Sonoma Valley yet? Do you enjoy wine? Would this be a 10k run or a half for you?

  8. Cool! Congrats. I love Napa/Sonoma. My only regret is that I didn’t go more often when I lived in the Bay Area. Hopefully it won’t be too hot in late June.

  10. You do live the life Lynda! How awesome is that, you covering a race right in your own “backyard!”
Sorry I won’t be able to make it, 3000 miles and 2 kids are the only thing standing in my way, but I am with you every step of the way, virtually that is.

Looking forward to the great pictures and the low down on your run.

Do you get wine stops instead of water? Now THAT would be fun!! at least until I fell to the floor :/

  11. I’ve not been to the Napa Valley, but by all accounts, it sounds and looks beautiful! If I were to go, I would want to run the half. I was supposed to run one in 15 days, but a foot injury threw me completely off schedule, so I have to plan for one later this year!

  14. Whenever I’ve been seeing the race advertised … I always think it’s “Zoomba” (you know, Zumba). I have to spell it “zoomba” in my head so that I pronounce it correctly! *Ü* I will not be attending this race, but I do hope to motivate myself to try a 5k somewhere in my area. I did one once and really enjoyed it, yet I’m totally nervous about trying it again (not so much the distance, although that IS a challenge for me. I’m just not one who runs in public or with other people … I’m a homebody with a treadmill!)

Thanks for linking up with Motivation Monday! 🙂
