The Ultimate Coffee Date #1

Good morning and happy Saturday.  I am super excited to be having our very first Ultimate Coffee Date  hosted by myself, along with Nikki and Jill.  Take some time this weekend and pour yourself a cup and cozy up as we sit and virtually chat as if we were having coffee together.

First I would meet you and give you a hug as we pull up our chairs and I would ask you how you have been and comment on how great you are looking, or how cute your hair looks, or what a cute outfit you had on, then ask you how the kids were, or the hubby {significant other}.  We would chat and catch up, people watch around the room and smile at strangers or say hello to familiar faces, then…

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that the gray in my hair is really coming in and I had to go longer in between colors because my hair gal had knee surgery and I had to spread out time between color {and how I am so anxious to have her back}.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that our daughter and I flew to Orange County last week as she attended the CASL leadership conference {California Association of Student Leaders} and it was inspiring and exhausting keeping track of 44 kids.  Having to do bed check every night and send some girls back to their rooms on dance night for outfit changes {some of them seemed to have forgotten to pack clothes that cover themselves} oh my!

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I am one of the ambassadors chosen for the Zooma Race Series {Napa} and I am really trying to train for my very first half marathon.  I would tell you that I am nervous and get discouraged as I am really hoping I can complete it and in a time that is not going to totally embarrass me and make me so disappointed that I would never do one again.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you to make sure you head over to my Soup recipe section and check out some of my recipes, we are still having chilly weather and soup is always a good meal for any time of the year.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that our oldest son lives in Santa Barbara and I miss him dearly and am hoping he will be home in a few weeks for a visit.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you I want to start video blogging again and miss doing it.  I just need to get my mojo back.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that our daughter and I just watched Frozen for the very first time {we must be the last people to see it} and I cried and totally want to down load that darn song for my running play list…it was that darn catchy.

While we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I can’t get enough of my fave t.v. shows I can’t get enough of Scandal and Parenthood.  I am such a Bravo addict, those darn housewives are crazy,  ALL of them!  Each show, it doesn’t matter.  I love watching brain dead t.v. it just makes for a great time.

We would wrap up our conversation, we would be laughing and chatting like crazy.  We would get out our calendars and make sure to have our next date scheduled {the first Saturday of next month}.

We would see some hottie in the coffee shop that we could secretly snap a pic of and post on Instagram

*If we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

Jill, I had to have some coffee sexy this morning :) Vlogging is just basically being able to turn the camera on and be you, just natural and chill. I love talking so after the first few times at it, I just went with it and loved it

Hello from Bloppy Bloggers. Oh. my. goodness…. I think I just found my kinda blog hop! I love coffee & I love chatting! I think I’ll write up my post when I have some downtime later today.

Good luck on the half marathon. I’m in Los Angeles & yes we’re getting that cooler weather we wanted all winter right? So yes I will check out your soup recipes.

I’m the last one on the planet that hasn’t seen Frozen. Heck, they were showing it on our flight to NYC last month & my husband watched it while I watched our little one.

Congrats on being a Zooma ambassador! I didn’t know you haven’t run a half marathon yet. How cool! There’s nothing else like your first! Good luck with training! I will definitely follow along with your training. You should vlog again! I love seeing others vlogs. It’s definitely a lot more personal and usually packed with good information. Have a wonderful day!!

Came here from the coffee date linkup. I’ve been following Jill and Nicki for a bit, but happy to find new fitness friends too :)

I haven’t seen Frozen yet. I watched the little “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” video that was going viral these past couple days though, and I’ve heard the “Let It Go” song (who hasn’t?). I have five BOYS, so Disney princess movies aren’t on the top of the list. My 15 year old has seen it though (went with a group of friends) and said it is really good and that he wants us to get the DVD. So I’m thinking we will for Easter …

Scandal is one of the shows I’m watching (Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Wife are my others). I generally just wait until shows hit DVD or Netflix and then watch an entire season, but I got hooked on a couple of these and so I’m actually keeping up with them (well, watching them the day after once they are posted to the network websites, I never watch anything “live” anymore).

    Happy to connect!

What a FABULOUS idea! I stumbled across this, as I sit all cozy in my living room on this Sunday morning, sipping my first cup of coffee with the local news in the background. . . I really do feel as if I just sat down & had a chat with you! How fun! Perhaps I will plan ahead to link up with you for a coffee date next month!

And, for starters, I would’ve responded that the grey in MY hair is ALSO coming in & I am still debating whether I will begin coloring again or just embrace it, regardless of my age. I would also respond that you & your daughter are absolutely NOT the last to see “Frozen,” as my girlfriends have been RAVING about it (some with young children & some with GROWN children) & I am thinking I may finally break down & rent it this afternoon.

    See you next month!
