Let’s Check Out The Napa Zooma Run

Hey everyone, in case you did not know, I am an official Zooma Race Series ambassador  for the Napa Valley run this June and I am so super jazzed!  The Zooma family has been amazing and my fellow Napa ambassadors are top notch.  I have never been so excited for a race and this will be my very first half marathon.  In case you are planning on attending the run this June, here are some photos and info that might come in handy …

  •  Let’s start with Registration … A discount is available until June 25th, 2014 NAMB7 for 10% off your registration either distance {10k OR half marathon}
  • The host hotel is the  Napa Valley Marriott and rooms are booking up
  • The weather in wine country that time of month will be hot, so be ready for some heat
  • The actual course is flat and has a beautiful setting
  • There is great shopping right across the highway from the host hotel
  • Don’t worry you coffee fans, the lobby has its own Starbucks
  • The town of Yountville is just a few miles down the road and it is not to be missed {you will love it}

The course is flat and has views of vineyards along both sides of the road, there is some shading from trees along the way

Just one mile from the host hotel you will find the Red Hen Cantina, this place is a staple in Napa and the place for mexican food.  If you are in the mood for some, then it’s just a walk away.

At the end of the route {right before we turn to run back} you can see Domaine Chandon.  There is always a good time for “bubbles” and the property is beautiful.  Just down the street from the hotel and right near the Yountville exit/entrance.

Speaking of Yountville, this is the cutest of towns.  Small but sweet and just filled with some really amazing restaurants and the famous Bouchon Bakery.

Some of the amazing places to eat in Yountville …

Each restaurant has its own personal touch and each one is amazing.  This is wine country and every place needs a reservation during season or just put your name in and have a seat at the bar, or walk around the quaint town while waiting and check out the Vintage 1870 shopping area.  Yountville is just up the road from the host hotel of the race, so not far at all.  The town is know for its famous French Laundry.  You will need reservations months out to sit and enjoy, but it is in the heart of Yountville and the garden is amazing.  See more here

If you are in the mood for shopping, the market center across the highway from the host hotel has everything you need from Trader Joes, to Whole Foods Market {one of the best one’s I have been in}, Cost Plus Market, Pier One Imports, Target, and others.  Everything is very accessible to the hotel and down town Napa is about a 5 min drive.  There you can find random restaurants, bistros, coffee places, and the Napa Running Company {bring your race bib to their store the weekend of the race and receive 15% off any purchase}.
