Wednesday Wonderfulz #4 Race Edition

Wednesday Wonderfulz final 2

Happy Wednesday everyone.  We are back with another #wednesdaywonderfulz link up.  Join my fellow host miss Sarah at How My World Runs and share with us your link.  This time around we are sharing our favorite races and race memories.  It is that time of year where most of us are outdoors and training for all the amazing runs we sign up for.  So let’s share the runs/races we have on our favorites list and one’s that we want to do.  Let’s begin …

My most favorite runs/races are the ones that I have done with our daughter.  She is such an amazing runner and it just comes easy to her.  We are looking forward to her joining the track team and most likely cross country, distance is her thing.  Here are just a few of the random runs I have done …

I am currently training for my first half marathon the Zooma Napa Valley and I am in the process of joining a team for the Napa Valley Ragnar.  I guess once I started back up with running, I got the bug and just want to do more and challenge myself.  Crossing my fingers for the Nike Women’s Half in San Francisco this fall … OH that would be FABULOUS

*Come link up with us your “Favorite Race Post” and make sure to use the badge on your site.  Make sure to follow your hostesses and Tweet at @fitnessmom1 and @howmyworldruns to share and check us out on social media …*this link is open until Sunday night*

  1. Wow you’ve done a lot of races!! I did one 5k after I had a hip fracture 11 years ago just to test it out :),and one half marathon which was the Monster Dash in Chicago on Halloween a few years ago. I run regularly but I just don’t care for races. Getting up and driving long distances may be part of the reason. 🙂

  2. Melissa, these are only a few of them LOL I did not want to have too many. I love getting the family up early to go with me, {well they are not always pleased with me doing that} I normally do a race within 2 hours of me or less. 🙂

  3. I tend to do most of my races close to home due to the whole affordability thing. My favorites have been Space Coast Marathon/Half Marathon, 26.2 with DONNA, OUC Half Marathon, Tomoka Half Marathon, Winter Park Road Race 10k, Run for the Trees 5k to list a few.

  4. Oh my word you have done a GANG of races. I have participated in races and loved the Running Through The Grapevine because there was a wine tasting afterwards BUT it was on a trail and a steep MUDDY hill so I was ummmm a little scared. Yeah I said it but I made it and the wine was well worth it. YAY! #wowlinkup

  5. My girlfriend is doing the team Ragnar next week in Chicago and I’m volunteering at midnight. I told her I most love her to do this LOL. The race in Napa must be very pretty. Do they have any wine tasting after some of these races? Visiting from the #wowlinkup.
