It’s a Win with WIN Sports Detergent and Giveaway

Win Sports Deteregent

Disclosure: I received product to review through my affiliation with Fit Approach.
As always, my opinion is just my own and honest.

Let’s talk laundry, shall we.  No one knows laundry like moms {okay not fair, I am sure some dads know laundry} but let’s just go with this.  Laundry and family … yikes.  Am I right?  We have two separate baskets in this house for laundry and I wish I could say I were so organized that one was for whites and one for colors.  Only even I am not that good.  Two baskets, always full and once they are empty and I do the happy dance, then BAM! full again.  Seriously, where does all of it come from?

As often as I keep up on the laundry, it still tends to smell “mucky” in those baskets, especially when I am reaching deep down into them to pull the clothes out.  Nothing, nothing smells as bad as a football uniform.  Trust me, I know this.  I have experienced this  with our oldest son and now Noah is playing football.  I was not introduced to WIN Detergent the first time around, but now I have had the opportunity to try this product out.

Pants, jersey, wet socks from sweat, under garments, arm sleeves.  You get the picture?  Yeah, not pretty.  Then we have my workout wear.  I sweat when running {maybe more so now that I have hot flashes} so a combo of both makes my shirts and sports bras a hot sweaty mess when I get done with a run.  Truth time?  Okay sometimes I don’t even wash my sports bra, I just hang it to dry on the door and wear it again a few more times.  I know, gross.  Then we have our daughter who runs cross country and well, you know, the same thing.  So basically on top of our “regular” cycle of laundry, we are an active sports minded family and we can smell pretty bad.

Win Sports Detergent

No longer! Here comes WIN Detergent.  I was a bit of a skeptic at first, I mean I have my favorite brand of detergent, so what’s so special about WIN ?

Win Sports Deteregent

With the winter upon us and the colder weather, we are layering up more when working out or running.  The sweat and odor stays in our clothing.

WIN Detergent is specially formulated to get persistent, sweaty smells out of the synthetic materials used in today’s workout apparel.

  • Synthetics are great because they wick moisture away from your skin.  But those same properties trap and hold onto oils.
  • Those oils bond to the fabric, and that’s where the stinky smell comes from.
  • WIN is optimized to break those bonds, removing the source of the smell and truly cleaning the garment.
  • The result is your gear not only smells great, but it works a lot better without all those oils in the way!

WIN is perfect for running & cycling gear, as well as soccer, hockey, football, lacrosse, and other team uniforms.  It’s safe for all types of garments, although it’s optimized for synthetics.  We recommend washing on warm, and using tumble dry low or hanging to dry.

The laundry loads have been staying pretty fresh and the scent is nice.  Not too over powering, but clean.  I have enjoyed using this on our active wear.  They have fragrance and dye free bottle for those who prefer that option.

  1. So…I’m a terrible human being and have only done laundry twice in my new apartment because I hate that I have to drag it down the hill to the laundry room, so I tend to accumulate enough so that when I go to my second “home,” I can just do all my laundry there. 😡 That’s awesome that it’s good for synthetics! I recently acquired more (hooray for cute workout clothes) and always worry that I’m going to ruin it by throwing it into the laundry room’s washing machine. :\

  2. Oh Farrah, in that situation, I would wash my nice workout wear in the bath tub. In fact, when our machine was down and we had to use the laundry, I did that for special stuff LOL
