November Smoothies and Puritan’s Pride Giveaway

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Wow, what a fast month this was.  Are we really just a month away from Christmas and then we head into 2015?  With all the busy and running around the end of the year, I want to stay as healthy as I can and keep my body running both inside and out.  We are eating some pretty heavy foods and we are dabbling and nibbling here and there.  Sooner or later, it will catch up with us.  Staying energized and bloat free is what I am hoping to do.  I can with the help of Puritan’s Pride.  Yep, it is time again for ANOTHER awesome giveaway.  Recap, I am working along side Puritan’s Pride and Fit Approach for three months with their smoothie challenge.

Check out November’s giveaway and smoothie recipes.
These super food smoothies will help us during the holiday season.

Chocolate Orange Protein Smoothie

I love adding orange to chocolate.  A great source of vitamin C comes from oranges.  We happen to have cuties in the house during the season and adding them to a smoothie just tastes great and makes sense to keep the immune system up.

Ingredients
2 Cutie Oranges
1 Scoopful of Good’n Nature All Natural Vegan Protein Powder {Chocolate}
1 Scoopful Puritan’s Pride Psyllium Husk SeedIce

Blend all together and enjoy.

Pomegranate Detoxifier Smoothie

Another good drink I like to whip up uses fresh pomegranate seeds.
Pomegranates are amazing!  But you already knew that … right?

Ingredients
1/2 Pomegranate
1 Scoopful Superior Greens Detoxifier
1 Scoopful Kale Powder
1 Cup Coconut Water
Ice

So it doesn’t look the prettiest, but it tastes amazing and is actually pretty sweet.

  1. My go to smoothie is: almond milk, banana, spinach and some berries. Sometimes I’ll add protein powder. I am lactose intolerant so I’d love to win some of this vegan formula!

  6. DUDE. I’ve never thought of an orange chocolate smoothie before! One (probably stupid) question: do you throw the cuties in the blender, rind and all? Or do you peel them first and just put the insides in?
