Most of us are getting ready for the holidays right about now, and I assume we are making “wish” lists or shopping already, either for ourselves or for others. This is the perfect time to go ahead and share just a few of my current favorites. I am linking up with Kat over at Mama’s Losin It for this weeks writing prompt … Some Of My Most Recent Favorite Things – Fall Edition.
♥ I love to cozy up this time of year and some of the latest pieces I enjoy are from Threads For Thought. I love this company and what they stand for. If I am not ordering on line, I can find them in my local Whole Foods Market and I am always picking up a piece for my collection here and there.
♥ Candles, candles and candles. Always, recent, currently and past. They are a must have and favorite all year round item. In every room in the house. I love cold fall/winter mornings when the sky is a bit gray outside, the glow of a candle burning in the kitchen while making breakfast or on my desk while writing is really cool.
♥ Blankets and throws on the couch, cozied up in a big chair or on the bed. I love getting myself tucked in and settled for a movie, having a cup of something warm in my hands and just enjoying the time. A faux fur throw makes for a wonderful Christmas morning must have and favorite.
♥ I love prAna leggings with an over sized sweater and long socks with boots. My favorite fall outfit. A new jacket for winter is on the wish list and I love something in a bright fun color.
♥ Doesn’t everyone need a scarf for a fall/winter favorite? An infinity scarf is so cool and warm. It is an easy option for me, as I don’t have to figure out how to wear it. Cozy, soft and warm.
♥ Fresh flowers, fresh flowers oh how I love them. Not just a current favorite, but an all year round favorite and must have. White flowers are my first choice always. Every so often I change it up and go for a soft pink flower. I know that Hydrangeas are normally a spring, wedding type of flower choice. But something about white hydrangeas in my house during the holiday season just seem right. Very soft and pretty, adding a vintage type of touch.
♥ A cup of tea, coffee or even a hot toddy. Those all just seem to taste better in a favorite mug.
♥ Soup. It’s all about the soup. Fall and winter is soup time. I love soup so much, that I heat leftover soup for breakfast at times. Nothing makes a soup taste more amazing then the perfect bowl. My current favorite to use are the classic white and although they are technically “cereal” bowls, I ladle soup into mine.
