A brief description …

MealEnders is a first of its kind weight management product.  These low calorie, drug and stimulate free Lozenges are designed to help us with overeating and master portion control by clearing the desire to consume more than needed from the mouth and mind.  Okay, I know you are most likely wondering what on earth I am talking about.  I will be honest, I was a bit of a skeptic myself until I read more and actually tried these little guys out.  Stay with me here … there’s more.

MealEnders works by using a combination of behavioral psychology and sensory science.

How do they work? …

The lozenges consists of two components … A sweet outer layer and a cool “tingling” inner core.  When placed in the mouth, you right away get the sensation of a desert, a sweet treat.  Once you get passed the outer, you hit the center and that is when you encounter the cooling, tingling effect.  These lozenges are NOT to be chewed, they are to be savored in the mouth until dissolved {about 20 min}, I personally had a hard time doing this at first since I get impatient and just want to bite through and chew.  It did not take long after trying to do that, to realize that these suckers were not so easy to bite.  I followed the instructions and went along doing whatever while savoring the MealEnder.

Basically, the sweet is to trigger an effect as if we are having dessert and the cool sensation would be the end of meal type of feeling, like the cleansing of our palate.  Apparently by keeping the mouth and mind occupied for the 20 minutes, the MealEnders naturally transition us away from the desire to overindulge, therefore giving our body’s natural satiety process time to catch up and letting us know we are full.  Does this make sense?

The Breakdown {according to MealEnders}

*Establish an chronological marker for meal and snack end
*Fill the 20 minute gap until normal satiety signals reach the brain
*Create a pause in eating patterns so healthier behaviors may be established
*Break the cycle of eating and chewing

*Provide a measured sweet cure for dessert replacement, followed by a palate cleansing to reduce cravings
*Engage the trigeminal to cure the sensation of eating
*Engage taste receptors to transition you away from foods being consumed
*Alter anticipated taste of additional food
*Temporarily modify olfactory perception {often a cause of overeating}

*Heighten mindfulness of natural digestive rythyms
*Create habitual cueing of meal completion
*Train the mind to recognize healthy portion sizes
*Empower a sense of control

MealEnders MealEnders

When to use MealEnders

At the end of a meal to replace dessert
When you have the urge to finish a large plate of food, just because it is there
When you crave a second helping, but really don’t feel hungry {in other words are you hungry or bored}?
When you want to snack on junk food in between meals

Okay so let’s get real.  I was pretty skeptic when I received the MealEnders.  I TRULY believe that being smart and making healthy choices is the most effective way to manage our weight.  Why are we eating when we are bored?  Why do we snack late at night? Why do we go for crap food even though we know it will most likely make us feel like garbage after?   I had given MealEnders about two weeks on and off and on occasion throughout the day.  Sure they taste pretty good and they do keep you busy from wanting to go for food.  By the time they dissolved, I had already moved on from wanting to eat something.  Does this mean they are the key to weight loss?  Does this mean they are the answer?  Does it mean they honestly work?  I have no idea to be honest {this is my own review after all}.  Whether it really is science or just what we want to think, I have to give MealEnders some credit.  I was satisfied while eating them.

Would you like a chance to try them out for yourself?  MealEnders is letting me giveaway 4 packs of their lozenges.
