The Ultimate Coffee Date June

Good morning welcome to another weekend of coffee and chat.  Come join us and link up your coffee related post and make sure to visit Deborah and Coco.

Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I would tell you  that I am actually out very early this morning participating in a training run for my up-coming Napa Valley Zooma half marathon.  I am hoping to take some time off my last year’s race and am looking so forward to running again this year.  If you ever get a chance to run in the Napa Valley I suggest you do so.  What a fabulous place to spend a long weekend, eat amazing food, drink fabulous wine and run.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you  that the kids are officially out of school and summer vacation is on.  We have our vacation planned and can’t wait to spend some time in South Lake Tahoe.  I grew up there as a child and it is always home to me.  Spending time at the pool, heading to the beach, hiking Fallen Leaf Lake, mini golf, paddle boarding and whatever else we can fit in will be done.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you  that even though we are on summer vacation, Noah is still playing baseball as the season goes until the end of June.  High school football camp and workouts start next week, so we have back to back sports going on all summer.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you  that I ended up taking my New Balance shoes back to the running store.  Although it seemed to have been the right shoe for me, I had found out after running in them for a few weeks that they just were not going to work.  Thanks to the staff at Athletic Feat {Napa,CA} I was able to do that.  They are so super amazing and patient.  It was no problem to return the shoe and spend the time to find another that would be a good fit.  I walked {ran} out of there in a pair of Brooks running shoes and am SO super happy in them.  I have never worn Brooks, but I think I am hooked.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you  that we are continuing with our “summer series” posts.  This month has us doing #skincare and will be reviewing and sharing some great skin products for summer while hosting a giveaway.  Make sure to stay tuned and watch social media for this towards the end of the month.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you about the latest in “smart kitchen” technology.  Thanks to Orange Chef, we can find making meals in the kitchen can be much easier and fun.  Check out the Countertop a new “connected” kitchen tool from the Orange Chef that can make recommendations for meals that are delicious, healthy and easy to make.  With life being so busy these days and most of us not wanting to cook or make healthy choices, the Countertop can change all that.  It gives you recipes, meal options and ideas and learns as you keep using it.  You will be able to head to the market and actually know what you want or need in the house for your next meal.  Pre-order the Countertop and receive $10 off your purchase.

Thank you for joining us and linking up.  Please make sure to share the #Ultimatecoffeedate via social.  Have a fabulous weekend and happy June.

  5. I actually thought about running Zooma Napa Valley because we were planning to be in CA. But, plans were changed and it didn’t work out. It looks like a wonderful race. Those back to back sports don’t leave much time for summer, do they? I hope you enjoy your half!

    • Well hopefully you can head to the area soon and do a run. Back to back sports are crazy, but I make sure we take a vacation break from them. I feel it is a must to let the kids get away, we really don’t need to have so many sports going all the time. Thanks for having coffee with us 🙂

  6. Sounds like a great summer that you’ve planned. We’ve still got 2 weeks of school left, and June gloom in full force down here right now, so I’m not yet in summer mode. Thanks for the linkup today, love this one.

  9. We don’t have summer vacation for another couple of weeks here! Although, with this weather lately, it doesn’t feel like summer. I know what you mean about New Balance. I have a pair that I sometimes run in, but they aren’t doing it for me either!!
