The Ultimate Coffee Date September

Good morning and happy Labor Day Weekend.  Welcome to another Ultimate Coffee Date and thank you so much for joining us.  Make sure to visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco and be sure to link up your coffee related post.

Ulitmate Coffee Date

September is here yay, I am so ready for the Fall season.  As much as I love the summer, warm weather and swimming with the kids, I am so ready for some cool down.  We have been extremely hot here in Northern California and the fire season has been so scary.  I am just praying for a good winter and lots of rain.  We need water and I have some Coach rain boots that are dying to get out there and hit the puddles.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you what some of my favorite Fall things were …

Light breezy evenings
The Fall moon
Jeans and T-shirts
Lightweight {boyfriend} sweaters
Long socks
Popcorn made on the stove
Warm milk with cinnamon {the kids like it without}
Crock pot meals
The smell of rain {if we ever get any}
Football season
Running in a light mist

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I have been invited to run the Nike Women’s Half Marathon this October in San Francisco.  I was totally blown away when this happened and had to pinch myself.  Thanks to Nike and Six:02, I have the opportunity to be one of the bloggers for this “bucket list” race that I thought I would never run.  I am training now and taking a different approach.  No over training, no stressing.   I want to really take in the entire weekend and I am not expecting any PR from this race.  I know it will be lots of hills and hard work.  I just want to check into the hotel and spend the entire weekend with fellow running and blogger friends.  I have not experienced this yet and am looking very forward to it.  I plan on running while taking in the views and stopping along the way for selfies and pictures of our beautiful city.  As if the race was not enough, I was super jazzed to receive an entire gym bag full of Nike apparel and pairs of shoes.  Thank you to Nike and Six:02 for the opportunity.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I turned 48 last week.  We did not really have anything planned, but spent the weekend sipping champs here in Sonoma, having dinner with friends and had our oldest son with us the entire weekend.  Having that time with him was the perfect gift.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I am still combining my running and Pure Barre together.  They are the perfect match for my body and my own training.  This year still has a few half marathons left to complete.  I have no desire to stop either of them, I am in love with running and want to keep at it as long as my body will let me.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you the update on our little guy Mr. Gray.  He is the kitten we adopted during the summer from the pet store that miss Faith was volunteering at.  I knew once she started that job, we would be bringing one of those cuties home.  He is adorable and has the nicest demeanor for a cat.  Both he and Stryker are actually pretty cool together.  It is so entertaining watching the two of them chase each other around the house and in circles.  Stryker has lost two pounds and I have no doubt it is all the exercise he is getting.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you the super great discount code you can use to register for the Berkeley Half Marathon.  I am one of the 14 ambassadors this year and am so excited.  This half marathon will be held in November and I have never run it.  You can receive $10.00 OFF your registration for ANY race length and there is no expire date.  This promo is good up to race day.  You can read about the Berkeley Half Marathon and find out which race you want to run.  Tell your fellow runner friends and make a weekend of it.  PROMO Code BHM2015Lynda is all you need to enter.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that our kids are settled into school and Noah has earned his starting positions on the JV football team.  Miss Faith has started cross-country again and our oldest son Mike is preparing himself and us to head into the Army as a combat medic.  He will be going in as a specialist since he is an EMT and has all his certifications.  This is something that I never thought would come across our table, however it has and I must be a supportive and brave mom.  I will back our son with whatever he wants to do in life and I give it all to God.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you my new vitamin supplement.  I have been introduced to Zarbee’s Naturals {found only at Target stores} and I am really enjoying these.  An easy daily on the go way to add my vitamins right to my water.  I feel amazing and will be keeping Zarbee’s at my house all the time.  You can read more here and for the entire month of September, you can receive $4.00 off each Zarbee’s product.

Zarbees Naturals

As always I love hearing your feedback from our coffee dates.  I take time to go through and really try to reply to each one and all the links.  Remember to use the hashtag #UltimateCoffeeDate when posting and sharing.  Have a fabulous holiday weekend and be safe.

  25. We are very dry up here in Pennsylvania, as well. The towpath/canal near my house is unbelievable – there’s no water in parts of the canal right now – it just looks like a mucky ditch. Enjoy the Nike Half in San Fran. Such a beautiful city. I was out there in June for Escape from Alcatraz triathlon.

    That list makes me dread the coming of cooler weather a little less! :]

    I’m glad you get to run NWM! That’s the only race I’ve ever run, and it was a lot of fun (even if I felt kinda like half-dying, hehehe)! That bag of Nike stuff looks awesome! *-*
