The Ultimate Coffee Date October

Happy Fall finally and good Saturday morning to all of you.  We are here this morning to get together for our monthly coffee chat, or maybe a pumpkin spice latte chat.  Whatever your choice, welcome.  Be sure to head on over and visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have three {3} half marathons in the next few weeks.  WHAT?  Yes, yes I do and now that I am reading this and saying it out loud in my head, I am thinking that I am totally off my rocker.  How did this happen?  When did I think I was going to take on so much running in such a short amount of time?  I’m not ready for all these, am I?  I have been really stepping up the Pure Barre classes, so I know I am feeling core strong, along with my legs and arms, but the running has taken a back seat the past two weeks, so I have some miles to put in before the first half coming up.

Nike Half Marathon {San Francisco} October 18th
Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon {Healdsburg} October 31st
Berkeley Half Marathon {Berkeley} November 22nd

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I just completed another green juice cleanse and detox.  I really enjoy the Chef V cleanse and as like the first time around, I feel really great and fresh.  The first day is always the hardest with a case of the grumpies and a slight headache, but after that it’s all good.  I have a great promo code for the cleanse/detox if you are ever interested in trying it out … FMWC will get you 55% off your own cleanse.

Chef V Cleanse

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have a Smarty Pants vitamin giveaway going on right now.  Smarty Pants vitamins are the natural gummy vitamin for adults and children with a pre-natal formula also.  This month is the travel packets, there are three more giveaways left for each month, so if you want to try the vitamins, head on over and check it out.

Smarty Pants Vitamins

Okay this is a short coffee chat since I really don’t have too much going on.  The kids are great, hubby and I are well and life is pretty good.  Just happy and blessed to have one another.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend, hopefully it is feeling like Fall where you are.  Make sure to spend time over the weekend to visit fellow bloggers and link up, share the love and comment.

    • I never thought I would be back into running like I have been. The past two years has been something else and after completing 5k’s I wanted to step it up. However, I am a bit nervous about taking all this on and that will be all for me the rest of this year, expect maybe the 5k Turkey run with our daughter.
I was one of the chosen bloggers for Nike so I am very very excited and humbled. I also know I can’t back out LOL

  7. Good luck on your halfs! I can’t imagine. 3 in 6 months is plenty for me!

Not having too much going on — sometimes that’s a good thing!

  8. Three half marathons! Yowzas. They all look like amazing races and ones you can’t possibly pass up. Lots of luck with lots of fun thrown in. Thanks for hosting another great link up!

  10. Wow, lots of races coming up. I have a 10K, half marathon and a 16K over the next few weeks. I am using them as long runs in my training plan. Thanks for the link up.

    • Karen you are loaded up with running also. I think I am just going to take the Nike nice and easy as that will be the most difficult with the most hills.
San Francisco is a tough city to run. Thank you for having coffee this weekend. 🙂

  11. Yikes — 3 half marathons?! You go girl!

  12. Good luck at each one of your half marathons! Can’t wait to hear how you do! I always like the challenge of running big races close together, but…man, I like taking a break afterwards, too!

  13. Best of luck with the upcoming half marathons! At one point in time I would have considered that (I did back to back Sat/Sun halfs in 2013) – but not nearly enough running base now. Enjoy!

  14. Those are three amazing races that you have lined up! (Says the person who hasn’t run any of them yet, but I have so many friends who have and have heard only good things!) Especially about the Healdsburg half, which is right in your back yard, right? Enjoy!

I’ve found that when I have a bunch of races lined up in a short period of time, I end up enjoying every one of them a lot more, because I take them easy by necessity. Can’t race hard and recover in time to have another strong one… so might as well enjoy the experience! Have fun!
Aleks @AleksRuns recently posted…The Ultimate Coffee Date: OctoberMy Profile

    • Exactly Aleks, I plan on taking it easy for the Nike since I know it is full of hills and want to enjoy the journey. I think by the time I hit the Berkeley half, I will be rested enough to try for a PR. Thanks for coffee this weekend. 🙂

  15. 3 halfs in the next few weeks? Myyy goodness, that’s kinda awesome (would also be terrifying for me), but best of luck to ya!

I’ve never heard of Smarty Pants vitamins, but will go check that out!

  16. Good luck with all your races! I have the Army Ten Miler next weekend and need to sign up for one more in November …

  18. Reading about the 3 races in the next few weeks made me dizzy a little! Good luck to you. It sounds like you really are prepared and ready for it. I love this coffee chat idea!

    • Oh No Nusrat, I am not prepared and I am a bit dizzy in the head to try and do all three back to back 🙂 Thank you for stopping by, we do this every first Saturday of each month, so make sure to come back 🙂

  19. I thought I was busy with 3 halves in the next 3 months, you are awesome!

  21. You sound like me with squeezing in so many half’s. Sometimes mine are on back to back weekends. It looks like you have a good amount of time in between and you’ll do fine! It is starting to feel a bit like fall down here in the deep South, I’m glad too I’m ready for some cooler temps. I’d have to agree Life is pretty good here too! Thanks for the link up, I enjoy it each month!

    • Tricia, life is pretty good in the South isn’t it? I am glad we don’t have the humidity like you do. I am assuming you are a Saints fan {a gal after my own heart}? I don’t know about back to back weekends, for half marathons, that is a bit much for me.
Thank you for having coffee with us over the weekend 🙂

  23. I tend to load up on races too and then think “Why did I do that to myself again?” For me I think I just get so excited when racing season comes that I have a “sign up for everything” mentality and don’t really check to see how close they are!

I’m glad life is going well for you, and good luck with your training!
