The Ultimate Coffee Date 2016 #4

Good morning and happy Saturday.  It is the first weekend in April and we are having coffee again.  What?  It’s April?  When did that happen?  Whether you are new to our Ultimate Coffee Date or a regular visitor, welcome.  Sit back, hang out and take the weekend to visit all of the wonderful bloggers who link up and chat.  Don’t forget to visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco while you are at it.

Okay so before I get started, I am going to just tell you that I am keeping my coffee chat short and simple today.

While we are having coffee, I will share with you that we are at the halfway point since our son has left for the military.  This time next month, I shall be watching him graduate from basic and then saying goodbye to him again as he continues forward to more training to become an Airborne Army Ranger.  I not going to sugar coat this, I am still adjusting.  As proud as I am, it also brings me sadness because I miss him so much.  Not having any contact {except the letter writing} is so difficult.  I can’t wait to hug him and hold him.

While we are having coffee, I will share with you that the new Pure Barre Platform classes have started and I am loving them.  I have not written about my experience and thoughts yet, but plan on to this week.  I hope you are following along and check back in for that.  In brief, what a workout!  Dang, it is good.  Speaking of Pure Barre, I am planning a great giveaway on Instagram Monday for any of you Pure Barre lovers {or want to try}, so please make sure you are following me over that at fitnessmomwinecountry.

While we are having coffee, I will share with you that our daughter and I spent some time together last week doing a photo shoot inspired around fitness.  It was a great way to bond and I embrace the moments like this, so fun.

While we are having coffee, I will share with you that I am getting ready to do another Chef V cleanse.  It is time, I can tell my body needs it.  I have done these a few times already and love them.  Super easy to follow step by step instructions.

Chef V’s Organic Cleanse is available in a 3, 5 or 7 day option.  It’s a great way to detox and lose weight.  All low sugar, vegan and organic.  They use fresh local ingredients.  Everything you need for each day of your cleanse is delivered right to your door.  I’ve done this cleanse a couple times and definitely recommend you give it a try.

  1. Thank you for hosting this fun Link-Up! I am enjoying my coffee now & reading some of the posts! I hope the time goes by quickly until you see your son again. My son is 10 and I get weepy at the idea of him leaving 8 years from now!!! I love the photo shoot with your daughter, that must have been fun. Also, I have not heard of the Chef V Cleanse, but with that great discount, I am going to check it out! Have a wonderful April 🙂

    • Angela, thanks for joining us. I love the cleanse, honestly I do. Sometimes it is fun to have some friends or family join you for the 3 days and all try at the same time. Enjoy

  2. You just reminded me that I wanted to check out the platform class at pure barre. I don’t love the reg classes but wanted to see if those were different. Have a great weekend!

  3. I can’t imagine you not having contact with your son other than letters! That has to be super hard.

But look how great you & your daughter look together — and what a great example you are setting for her!

  5. Hugs to you on this time of adjustment! I do hope it gets easier for you. It is great you’ve found something you love in the pure barre class.
I haven’t done a cleanse in awhile. I use to use Isogenix but quit. May check out this one. Why do you really like it?
As always thank you for the link up! I always enjoy it each month!

    • Tricia, I love the Chef V because it really does taste fresh and I love how easy it is to do. Comes right to my door, the soup is amazing and I am able to drink the green juice all day. I have done that cleanse three times and will be doing another soon. I feel totally refreshed after and I notice a difference in my skin and energy. Thank you for coffee this weekend.

  6. Love the picture of you and your daughter! I hope the rest of basic camp passes by fast and you and your son are visiting soon! My best friend is a PB teacher and is at platform training this weekend! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

    • Thank you Mary Beth. I am counting the weeks still left and it is not easy. We are just starting, he has much more training towards becoming a Ranger. I am so proud of him, but miss him so much. I look for letters every day in the mail. I will be sharing my Pure Barre Platform later this week. Thanks for coffee 🙂

  9. Ooooh pure barre! I have always wanted to give it a try. I also just have to say that you are such a strong and loving mama! I get choked up thinking of your situation – Sending lots of love your way!

    • Becky, wow thank you. I appreciate your kind words. My kids are my world. I am a mom first and I would never change that. I can’t wait to see and hug our oldest son. We have another month to go. Everyday I run to the mailbox and look for more letters. He is doing something amazing and has made the choice to protect and serve our country and fight to keep us safe. Thanks for coffee this weekend.

  11. Halfway through…that is a good thing even though I know it is so hard. Thank you to your family for sharing your son with us.

I did a barre workout for the first time a feel weekends ago….the knee was not a fan but I could see how I could enjoy it if I didn’t have these knee issues.

Nice shot with your daughter. So great for you all to share those moments together.

I might have to check that cleanse out. Thanks for the info.

Thank you for having coffee with me. I always enjoy our time together.

    • Tamieka was it the Pure Barre Platform? I could see how that would be a problem for the knee. I think this month is going to take forever, since it is the last one before seeing our son. I truly enjoy the cleanse, I was even thinking of finding a few other gals {bloggers} who would want to do it at the same time and support each other for the three days. Let me know if you might be interested.
      Thanks for coffee 🙂

  12. I know you are going to be so proud of your son at his graduation! Where is he doing his basic training? I love the picture of you and your daughter planking. That is such a challenge for me. I have to admit, I’ve never tried a cleanse. As someone very sensitive to blood sugar levels, I’m not sure how I would react. Thanks for the linkup!

    • He has been in Basic for the past five weeks and has another five to go. Then from there another base more training and one more base after that for Airborne and Ranger. He wants to be Army Ranger Airborne, they are the elite. I could not be more proud, but so so missing him. I am able to tweak the cleanse {they give you a list of things to add if needed} I have added some almonds, brown rice and they supply you with the soup for three days which taste amazing. If you try, I would love to know how you liked it.
Thank you for coffee this weekend.
