Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato Stuffed Chicken

The Napa Valley is the newest home for Grocery Outlet and last week I was able to attend the grand opening.  As a mom who believes in feeding her family the healthiest way possible, using fresh ingredients and sticking to a budget, the Grocery Outlet is a for sure place to find what I need.  I was pleasantly surprised to see familiar name brand products at such discounted prices.  I was very happy to see that Grocery Outlet has a NOSH program.  This is all about Natural, Organic, Specialty and Health items and food.  I can shop my healthy options for meals and for the house at great prices. I found some Foster Farms split bone in chicken breasts and thought of a great dinner idea for the family. Grocery Outlet Napa Valley Grand Opening

Big news!  Grocery Outlet has arrived and has a new home in the Napa Valley.  I will be totally honest with you, I have never stepped foot in a {GO} before and was invited to visit this new one.  I was immediately intrigued and had to go check it out.  I had questions because I really didn’t understand the concept, was it a warehouse or did you need a membership?  Were you to buy items in bulk? Not at all, in fact just the opposite.  Grocery Outlet is not a warehouse and no you do not have to buy in bulk.  Just a regular grocery store with lower prices.  The  Napa Valley location is large and open with all the items and products placed neatly and easy to see and find.  I was greeted by friendly staff and walked through the doors with my eyes wide open and my mouth…  Read More…

Peanut Butter Protein Banana Waffles

*Disclosure, I was compensated and given product for my recipe and review of Mighty Nut through my affiliation with Fit Approach.  Recipe is my own and opinion. Making breakfast for the kids each morning is something I really make a point of doing.  I want to send them out the door ready for the day ahead and we have all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Trying to get creative is the hard part, but the kids love pancakes or waffles as their favorite morning meal.  I am always looking to keep the ingredients good and healthy for all the meals and at times {many times}, I “sneak” the goods into their food. I can now add some extra good to their waffles or pancakes with Mighty Nut powered peanut butter.  This is awesome, I love using powdered peanut butter in smoothies, shakes, making dips…  Read More…

Wine Country Lasagna

My kids could eat pasta every night of the week {wait … taco night is pretty high up there}.  Not only is pasta super easy and fast, it is affordable and I love having enough of it in the house to make something different as often as possible.  With all the activities the kids do, feeding them all these carbs is totally okay, they are burning them off like crazy.  Since it is like pulling teeth to get my kids to eat cooked or steamed veggies, I have to get really creative when it comes to dinners.  Pasta is one of the best ways to sneak in as many veggies as possible.  I love it ♥ Wine Country Lasagna Ingredients 1 cup fresh spinach leaves 1 cup cut fresh carrots 1 cup fresh mushrooms fresh garlic cloves {as many as you prefer} 1 tsp garlic powder 1 lb ground turkey…  Read More…

Mango Kale Green Juice

Smoothies are always so good, but something about summer and the warm weather really makes smoothie time so much more fun.  I love incorporating seasonal fruit into any “green juice” smoothie.  Here is the latest using all fresh ingredients … Mango Kale Green Juice Ingredients 1/4 cup Fresh Cut Kale 1/4 cup Fresh Rainbow Chard 1/2 Citrus Orange 1 Banana 1/2 cup Fresh Cut Mango 16 oz HINT “unsweet” Blood Orange Water Ice Adding @hintwater to #greenjuice is brilliant Click To Tweet Normally I use coconut water for almost all smoothies, but HINT has so many great options with their “unsweet” water, I love adding them.  Keeping fresh greens in the house is made easy when buying them in ready made bags.  Freezing greens is great also if you are not using them right away.  Enjoy ♥ *Note* Affiliate links are in this post.  I was not compensated by HINT…  Read More…

Baked Spring Rolls

It has been far too long since I have spent some time creating something in the kitchen to share here with you.  The last few weeks I have been on a HUGE veggie diet eating binge, I just can’t get enough of them lately.  The latest craving as of current is the bean sprout.  I love them.  I was in the market with the hubby last week and a bam out of no where, I shouted across the produce aisle “spring rolls”!  “I want some veggie spring rolls, let’s make them”. As usual, he shook his head and agreed while smiling at the same time.  I am sure my hubby could not wait to have a plate of spring rolls for dinner. ♥ We grabbed up every vegetable I was in the mood for and went home to start cooking.  The recipe is awesome, super healthy, very clean and they…  Read More…

Butternut Squash Lasagna

What to do with the Thanksgiving leftovers?  Well, we make turkey and cranberry sandwiches, or turkey soup.  Or maybe something in the slow cooker.  A few days after Thanksgiving had me wanting something different.  I was all “turkied” out and wanted some comfort food that did not include mashed potatoes.  I had a great butternut squash and sweet potato bowl in the fridge and that would make for a great Winter Lasagna.  Using the squash and potato mixture together in the lasagna would help make it hearty since I had no extra veggies sitting around.  Super easy and quick, no hassle and great for the rest of the weekend.  *{No homemade sauce from this mom, so from the jar works just fine}. Ingredients 1 Box Lasagna Noodles 2 Jars Red Sauce 1 lb Lean Ground Turkey Chopped Fresh Garlic {we use tons of this} Dash Kosher Salt Dash Ground Pepper…  Read More…
