Color Run Fun…..And Faith

This last weekend was my first Color Me Rad run and although I was really excited, nothing could have made it for AMAZING than running it with our daughter.  I am not sure how many of you have done runs/events with your children, but I know as a mom {for me anyway} I have always looked forward to the milestones we have with our kids. Waiting for them to be able to “chat and talk”, waiting for them to be able to play board games, waiting for them to be able to go on bike rides together, help cook in the kitchen, even make their own food, clean their own rooms….the list goes on. Now Faith and I are able to team up and enjoy something together. I am so blessed and happy that she has the same interest in fitness and running like I do.  SO much in fact,…  Read More…

It’s All About the Divas….

Run Like A Diva another year down.  So this is my second “Diva” run and although I enjoyed last year’s, this was even better.  The drive down, the journey, the laughs, the parking ticket, the cute police officer {listening to my story about my wrongful parking}, the LULU Lemon party, the bling, the AMAZING women we met, the connections, the “AcroYoga“,  the “tallest man ever” {6 feet 9 inches}, the group of women from Finland {see pic of the group all in blue}, the HOTTIE, HOTTIE fire men waiting at the finish line!  IS that enough? I have to say that doing an event like this with wonderful people and amazing energy makes it all the more.  My partner in crime {literally, ask the police officer} Kristen was the best partner for the weekend.  Her energy and spirit is awesome, and although she is no “morning person” she was a trooper….  Read More…

Going for the “Color” this time…

Okay so now that I seem to have gotten over my fear of “mud runs”, I find it impossible to NOT try my first color run. Instead of wading my way through cold, thick, gooey, water and mud, I get to say dry and be covered with “happiness”. Color is all about being happy and from what I have seen and read about these events, they look very happy. I took the step and have been invited to join Color Me Rad 5k as a fellow event blogger.  It is nice to see that we are having an event right  in near my home town of Sonoma. Okay, well not in Sonoma, but Santa Rosa which is about a 30 min. drive from there.  As with the mud runs,  I have no idea what to expect. I do know that OR assume my feet will stay dry and I won’t freeze do…  Read More…

Pretty Muddy Run Sacramento

Well it has happened. I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried my first Mud Run last month. Now I am back at  {or will be in June} as I am going to attend the Pretty Muddy Women’s Mud Run.  I have been asked to be a Blogger Ambassador for this grand event in Sacramento, CA  and I was thrilled.  I of course said YES! This time around I am prepared and know pretty much what to expect.  My fear has left me and has been replaced with excitement and anticipation.  Will I still be packing enough for a week’s journey?  Of course I will. This next event will be in June 29, 2013 and I am staring an hour later than the last event. Also, Sacramento should be warmer than a cold morning in San Francisco. I know that Pretty Muddy has events all over this spring and summer….  Read More…

It wasn’t the Dirty Girl that almost did me in…IT was the drive down there…

Okay so as I posted a few weeks back, I was asked by Dirty Girl Mud if I was interested in being a “Blogger Ambassador” for the San Francisco event.  SURE I was, why not?  I have seen and followed many other sites and blogs who have done mud runs and they look fun…(out of my comfort zone and scary, but fun).  The event was held this past Saturday at Candlestick Park, about an hour and half drive from me and this is where the story begins…. We had left the house at 5:30 a.m. and I was pretty happy that there would be no traffic that early on a Saturday morning.  However, there would be fog and lots of it!  Without going too deep into this (because that would be an entirely other post) I suffer from severe panic attacks.  I have a huge fear of driving on the…  Read More…
