Chef V Cleanse Review and 55% Promo Code

We are pretty much getting back to normal around here since the holidays.  The kids are back in school.  I am on track with my Pure Barre workouts, the house is in order, I am in the early stages of changing my eating.  Trying to delete most sugars {more than I normally do}.  It is the new year and time to recharge and restart.  The year would not start out right without my Chef V Cleanse.  Let me take you back to the beginning. I came across the Chef V Cleanse program sometime last year while searching for green juice/drinks.  I know I make my own at home, but I was interested in having ready made and easy to grab and go for on the run.  I had always played around with the idea of a cleanse just to really see how my body would handle one and to detox…  Read More…

Finding My Word For 2016

With Christmas behind us and things back in order, I find myself a bit more quiet and with that comes the thoughts of what my word for 2016 would be.  Not that I am just now thinking of this.  I have been bouncing words around in my mind and searching my heart for the one that would resonate with me the most.  It is difficult to come up with just one word {I tend to mix two together}, but a word that could fit and at the same time have more than one meaning. A laundry list of words come to mind … Kindness Happy Truth Strive Empower and the list goes on.   It finally came to me, the word that just makes sense for myself and my soul.  I have an entire year to live with this word and I am confident it is exactly the right one.  I…  Read More…

Merry Christmas Recap

Christmas day has come and gone, but the I am keeping the holiday feeling alive {at least around here}.  Normally the tree is down first thing the next morning, however I just couldn’t bring myself to do it this year.  I instead met myself halfway and took all the ornaments off and neatly wrapped each one back into tissue paper and placing gently into the green and red storage box that clearly means Christmas stuff only.  The Pandora station is still set to the holiday station until the first of the new year {I sense a mutiny coming from the family}. Christmas went just as I set out to have it go.  The shopping was done weeks early and since Faith is old enough and loves keeping busy, she did all the wrapping for everyone {except herself}.  This meant the closet was organized and everything was ready.  Santa and his…  Read More…

Setting Goals 2016

The end of the year has me thinking so many things.  I swear if I don’t stop and just take a breath, my head will spin off.  I know we tend to gather up all the odds and ends by end of the year and create our lists of everything we want to do, complete, accomplish and goal for the new year coming.  I am so guilty of this, however I want to put the brakes on and stop. I want to take many minutes a good day to be quiet and still with my mind.  I want to soak in the past year and remember.  I want to sit and listen to the Christmas music playing on the Pandora station in the house.  I want to sit and finish that cup of tea quietly.  I want to lay on the couch at night and stare at the tree while…  Read More…

Adelle Hello I Can’t Stop

I have to write about my Adele crush.  It wasn’t until I purchased her 21 Album that I really payed attention and immediately fell in love.  Seriously just listen to her and Hello {pardon the pun} look at her, she is BEAUTIFUL! We all have some favorites from that album … Rumor Has It Rolling In The Deep Set Fire To The Rain Someone Like You Turning Tables – {live acoustic} When was it about two weeks ago?  The newest 25 was released and OMG, worth the wait.  Wow and wow Adele, you have done it again.  You have managed to grab hold of my soul and have time just stop while I listen and hold on to each and every note.  Goosebumps up and down my arms and tears to my eyes.  Bravo my favorite female voice {okay a close run with Stevie Nicks}, I spent the entire 5th…  Read More…

Thanksgiving Shopping

When the 5:00 a.m. news came on {I am up that early making coffee for husband} and it said we were expecting “storm like weather to hit around 9:00 a.m., my head started going into game plan mode.  It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving {early morning} and I knew I had some shopping to finish up at the market.  I didn’t really put any stress on myself this year since we already had the “big bird” resting safely in my mother’s refrigerator.  The rest of the list would be pretty easy and most of it consisted of fresh food and produce {packages and boxes don’t really work at my Thanksgiving meals}.  That being said, I wanted to wait as late as possible to pick everything up.  My mind had changed with this latest forecast update.  No waiting and putting it off, I would head out this morning and beat the…  Read More…

Holiday Shopping Gift Giving Guide

*Disclaimer this post contains affiliate links.  I love being organized and even more so this time of year.  I start shopping early for the holidays and I have a list of ideas for each person I shop for, that way if I can’t find what I want, I have options.  The problem about shopping too early, I tend to hide things and forget where I have put them when it comes time to wrap.   I have many years found gifts that I have purchased months after Christmas in their hiding places.  Nostalgia sets in when heading to some of our favorite shopping areas.  Some of my fondest memories of holiday shopping are when we would head to the large Nordstrom mall area {outdoors} here in California and bring the kids.  They were younger then, so if we were shopping for them, they really didn’t pay much attention, they were too…  Read More…
