The Ultimate Coffee Date November

How on earth can it be November already?  I know this is cliche, but as I get older the time really does go by faster.  I really notice it with the kids.  They are growing up and I have been finding myself wanting to turn the clock back.  I have digressed, let me get back to the start … Happy Saturday and welcome to another #UltimateCoffeeDate with myself and co-hosts Deborah and Coco.  I love stopping each month and taking a long weekend to go over your links and comments.  It is a nice way to slow down and re-group, re-connect or connect with new bloggers. ♥ If we were having coffee, I would chat on  about how my kids are growing too fast.  I know, they have to and I am so super proud of all of them.  I just want to stop and slow down.  Is it because…  Read More…

Chef V Organic Green Drink

*Disclsoure – I am an affiliate with the Chef V brand.  My review and opinion are strictly my own. I spent so much time researching cleanses.  I was always just waiting for the right one to come along and the right time to do one {okay, so I had to talk myself into finally starting}.   It wasn’t until I came across the Chef V Organic Cleanse that I finally said “yes”.  I have done the Chef V Cleanse twice and was pleasantly happy each time.  With easy to follow step by step instructions, the Chef V Cleanse was a piece of cake {pun intended}.  You can read about my own experience here If a cleanse is your thing and your are ready to try one out, don’t forget to use the Promo Code FMWC to receive 55% off. Nike Training and Running Thoughts

I am a week away from the Nike Women’s Half Marathon.  My very first time running this popular and highly anticipated race.  I have run half marathons before, heck this will be my fifth one.  I have been training on and off for months, I have been taking Pure Barre classes religiously in order to help strengthen my core and legs.  So why on earth is the Nike so scary for me?  Is it because I will be spending an entire weekend attending activities and workouts prior to race day?  Is it because this race has an estimated 30,000 runners {not 3,000}?  Is it because I have no idea what to expect, as I have not headed to the city and checked out the route?  Is it because I know I am going to be taking on some major hills?  I can keep second guessing myself all week long and…  Read More…

The Ultimate Coffee Date October

Happy Fall finally and good Saturday morning to all of you.  We are here this morning to get together for our monthly coffee chat, or maybe a pumpkin spice latte chat.  Whatever your choice, welcome.  Be sure to head on over and visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco. ♥ If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have three {3} half marathons in the next few weeks.  WHAT?  Yes, yes I do and now that I am reading this and saying it out loud in my head, I am thinking that I am totally off my rocker.  How did this happen?  When did I think I was going to take on so much running in such a short amount of time?  I’m not ready for all these, am I?  I have been really stepping up the Pure Barre classes, so I know I am feeling core strong,…  Read More…

Pure Barre and Running

By now most of us {I assume} has heard of Pure Barre.  The workout using the ballet bar, that cute little red ball, that looks similar to the red bounce ball we played with on the school yard {only smaller} and the stretching bands.  Yep, that’s the one.  Well I am a HUGE fan of Pure Barre and I have been incorporating the workout with my running for over a year now.  Wow, what a difference. Benefits of Pure Barre for running … {my version} Stamina Stronger core Arm strength while using when running Killer calf muscles Ankles {finally} Lean legs Toned Strong hamstrings, glutes and quads Toned inner thighs Great buttocks {that Pure Barre ledge} Running is not a new thing for me, I have actually been running for years.   I was running in my 20’s often and then again in my 30’s.  It wasn’t until the last almost…  Read More…

The Ultimate Coffee Date September

Good morning and happy Labor Day Weekend.  Welcome to another Ultimate Coffee Date and thank you so much for joining us.  Make sure to visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco and be sure to link up your coffee related post. September is here yay, I am so ready for the Fall season.  As much as I love the summer, warm weather and swimming with the kids, I am so ready for some cool down.  We have been extremely hot here in Northern California and the fire season has been so scary.  I am just praying for a good winter and lots of rain.  We need water and I have some Coach rain boots that are dying to get out there and hit the puddles. If we were having coffee, I would share with you what some of my favorite Fall things were … Leaves Light breezy evenings The Fall moon…  Read More…

Zarbee’s Naturals at Target

*Disclosure … I received product and compensation for my thoughts on Zarbee’s Naturals. In case you missed it, I recently shared my thoughts on Zarbee’s Naturals.  With busy schedules and sometimes finding it difficult to remember to take our vitamins, we can have an easier time of it with Zarbee’s Naturals.  These are individual packets of vitamin supplements that you add to hot or cold water {depending on the blend}. Happy Healthy and Fit Giveaway

September is here and to be honest, I am really ready for Fall.   We have been in the midst of a crazy heat wave, most of California seems to be on fire and we are in a severe drought situation.  I am so looking forward to the next season and some much needed rain and weather.   Fall can mean that most of us tend to get pretty comfortable with our routine and sometimes slack off a bit.  We cozy up, start making comfort food meals, wear more clothing and well to be honest, we just pretty much fall off the fitness wagon.  Right?  Come on, be honest.  I am raising my hand high right now, because I find myself easily falling into that routine. I don’t want the Fall season to be my “forget about fitness” season.  I plan on getting myself out there and continuing with my running and…  Read More…

Pet Adoption and The Volunteer Job

How is summer going everyone?  We are into the second week of July and with the 4th behind us and the Tahoe trip  {post to come} in the past, I am finding that the days are filled with swimming at the country club pool or grandma’s house.  If that is not enough to keep the kids busy, then I am at a loss.  I am actually looking forward to some quiet time and just doing nothing for a few days, but when it is too quiet the kids get restless.  Noah has football workouts and camp three days each week until season starts, so that helps.  Miss Faith is busy shopping on-line for anything because, well she is a girl {a 13 year old girl}, she gets bored and she apparently thinks that we have a money tree planted in the back yard. This is when I get creative.  Faith…  Read More…
