Purina Pro Plan and Cat’s True Nature

*Disclaimer*  This post is sponsored by Purina and Go Pro in return for my own views. Are you a cat lover? Do you have any cats?  Normally I am sharing and writing about something regarding health and fitness, however when Purina approached me and asked if I wanted to join in their True Nature campaign, I instantly said yes.  Cats need to be healthy and fit, they need to have good diets and clean food.  We have cats and are lovers of them {we love our dog also} but this is all about the Cat and their extraordinary nature.  The everyday lives of cats in their environment and settings.  Thanks to Purina and Go Pro, I am sharing some of our cat’s True Nature and at the end of this post there is a super cool giveaway that you DON’T want to miss out on.  Meet Mango, he is our…  Read More…

The Chef V Green Cleanse

Spring is here and isn’t this normally the time of year we clear everything out?  We get facials, we clean all the windows, we go through the crap we have around the house and donate it, we clean the yards and sparkle them up for the new season.  Well Spring seemed like the perfect time to finally do a juice cleanse.  I have been thinking on this for over a year, I have had opportunities arise to try, but just never took the steps.  Enter here the Chef V Organic Green Drink and Cleanse.  I am going to share with you my experience while on the Chef V Cleanse for the past three days {good, honest and the struggles}. *I received product for my own opinion and review of this* Total honesty, I was very skeptical of this cleanse {or any for that matter}.  I had gone over the pre-cleanse…  Read More…

When A Training Run Turns Into A Walk

*Note* The winner of the Ultimate Runner’s Giveaway has been chosen and is announced at the end of this post. We have all been there, we have all had them.  You know what they are, the days that we head out to train for an up-coming run and end up just not getting it done.  Instead of just throwing in the towel when a bad “running” day hits, we can just walk it out or like Taylor Swift sings “shake it off“.  This is exactly what I did while out on my latest run.  I had every intention of topping my 5 miles and going further.  I had just come off the weekend of back to back GREAT runs and some Pure Barre classes, however Tuesday morning had me finding out that my legs were just not into it {my calves to be exact}.  I found myself turning off my…  Read More…

Easter Recap in Wine Country

Easter was this past weekend and we finally had some rain here in Northern California.  I know most of us tend to want a warm sunny day for the egg hunt, but I have to say that being outdoors with rain boots on and racing to find eggs while dodging raindrops was rather fun.   To recap the day … I set my alarm the night before to make sure I would rise up for an early morning Easter run.  I just really wanted to be out that morning and embrace the peacefulness and reflect on things. I was not disappointed, the town of Sonoma was so quiet at 7:00 a.m. and the sky was a light gray as the rain was on its way.  The smell in the air was that of an early fall morning, you know right before a storm is to come.  My running was on task…  Read More…

The Ultimate Coffee Date April

Good morning everyone!  Happy Easter weekend to you all.  Wishing you a fun weekend filled with goodies, may they be chocolate, or nutty, or healthy.  Whatever they may be, I hope you are having a great time.  Are we REALLY already into the month of April?  Goodness, I believe the older I am getting, the quicker life is moving.  This coffee chat will be brief as I assume all of you are plenty busy this weekend. ♥ Before we get started, please make sure to be kind and visit my co-hosts Deborah and Coco.  Leave your coffee related posts in the link and please take a few moments to comment and share.  Make sure to tag #UltimateCoffeeDate If we were having coffee, I would tell you that … I have really noticed lately how fast the kids are growing.  I don’t know what has happened or why, but I can…  Read More…

Rock N Roll Expo San Francisco

I know it’s Wednesday and this post could have been done a few days ago, however like the saying goes … “better late than never”.  I enjoyed spending last Saturday working along side one of our amazing Zooma gal pals {Andrea} at the San Francisco Rock N Roll Expo in San Francisco at the Moscone Center.  Unfortunately, I had not signed up for that particular race {on my to do list}, but I did love working for and chatting up Zooma.  Miss Andrea and I had so much fun meeting some great people, hearing their running stories, finding out where they traveled from and telling them about ALL the amazing Zooma Races. The Napa Valley race is scheduled for June 20th, 2015 and that is pretty much around the corner.  This is my second year being an ambassador for the all women’s race series and I have to say, they…  Read More…

Birthday Party Vision Boards

This past weekend had us spending the entire two days outdoors and in my opinion went by too quickly.  I could not be more blessed and happy to be living in the wine country.  The weather here is pretty much always amazing and well, to be honest {although we are in dire need of more rain}, I am glad to not be living amongst the frozen states across the map {my heart goes out to all of you who are tired of all the snow and cold}. Our daughter turned 13 last week and I am always up for doing something creative and different for her birthdays.  Budget friendly is key, while still being fun and entertaining.  As she is getting older, this seems to be more of a challenge.  How can I get a group of 12/13 year old girls together, have them unplug from electronics, keep them entertained…  Read More…

Ultimate Coffee Date March

Good morning and happy Saturday.  It is the first weekend of March and we are getting together for coffee chat.  Join myself and my co-hosts Deborah and Coco as we invite all of you to link up and take some time over the weekend to read, share and comment.  Coffee is more fun when we all share. ♥ Let’s catch up shall we? If we were having coffee, I would tell you that … I am actually running a 5k race this morning in Sonoma.  I am the mentor for a local high school senior and her end of year project is a 5k Run/Walk for ALS.  Her grandmother had passed from ALS two years ago and she is dedicating this project and run to her.  We have been working on it since last October and have had to comply with the city and county for regulations and permits.  It…  Read More…
