Thank You Thank You Liebster Award

I am never one to miss a chance for some blogging kudos, after all don’t we ALL need a little pat on the back here and there?  Isn’t it nice to be noticed for our passions, efforts and at the same time make some new connections?  I am super humbled to be {once again} nominated for the Liebster Award via one of my top fave bloggers Miss Cheryl.   What is the Liebster you may be asking?  Simply this … The word Liebster is “beloved” in German.  The “award” is given to bloggers by their peers and along with it comes a handful of questions in which each recipient answers.  It is typically for new bloggers just starting out.  Basically it is a type of virtual blogging chain letter and you get to know one another a bit better.  You have the choice to accept and pay it forward OR decline…  Read More…

Compassion We Can Never Have Enough

It is time.  Today is Februray 20th, 2015 and the internet and social media world is being flooded with stories, words and tales about compassion.  Today we are a movement, today is #1000speak. I have been thinking on this topic for weeks.  My mind has been busy with scenarios and recalling times when I have witnessed compassion or have been compassionate towards others.  I can dive into the big picture like world wide compassion and how it is so much more needed … Hunger Homelessness Healthcare Elderly Animal Cruelty Child Abuse Gay Rights Religion … the list goes on OR I can just spill my words out onto this page and be open to my version of compassion. It is no secret that I wear my heart on my both my sleeves.  I can’t help myself, compassion is all consuming inside me and sometimes I feel as if it is…  Read More…

#whatslovely WORKING OUT

It’s day three of #whatslovely is upon us and this brings us to WORKING OUT.  It is suppose to be about stepping out of our comfort zones and trying something different.  I however will be totally honest with you … I am just back to my Pure Barre classes after being sick for about four weeks and I have no desire to try something new or different.  I am just happy to be back at class.  So with that said … I enjoy staying fit with Pure Barre classes. I love to run and enjoy training for half marathons. I am not obsessed with being “skinny” {I can’t stand that word}. I know that being active at my age and years to come will help me keep up with my kids. I know that exercise {along with good eating and lot’s of water} is great for our complexion. I know…  Read More…
