Runtastic Orbit Has Arrived

I am so super jazzed to be sharing the latest with you.  Okay listen, I am not the most tech savy gal out there and I am NOT really into gadgets or the newest and latest {I still have my Samsung Galaxy S 2 and the original IPod shuffle} so yeah, I am sort of behind.  However, I am up to speed with the app Runtastic Orbit and the Me App.   Thanks to Fit Approach and Runtastic who so kindly reached out and sent me this newest gadget.  I was a bit overwhelmed at first, as with most new things that require downloading and connecting, etc.  With easy step by step instructions, I was able to get my Runtastic Pro and Me App up and running on my Android Phone. The timing is perfect, as I am getting ready for my next half marathon and training is under way. …  Read More…

Have You Tried Surf Set?

I am always saying we need to “step out of our comfort zones and just try new things”.  Well I put my words to the test last month when I attended the Fit Approach  Summer Solstice  event at Sweat Republic  in San Francisco. The event was introducing a  Surf Set class.  When I saw that my fellow “sweat pink” gurus were putting this on, I had to attend.  I love my sweat pink sistas  and am always up for meeting them whenever possible. ♥ First thing first, I had to make sure my hubby got home from work early that afternoon so he could get me to the city on time.  It was Nascar weekend here in Sonoma, so the traffic was a bit of a challenge getting out of here and I knew the clock was ticking to get there in time, follow the GPS directions to the event and…  Read More…

Bringing The Color Run To Our School

Last Friday was our first jog-a-thon for the Adele Harrison middle school here in Sonoma.  This  was an event that was the brain child of one of our AMAZING parents {Eileen}.  She worked to pull together volunteers, contacted some local markets for sponsorships, created letters, etc.  If you have ever been a parent volunteer in your child’s school, you get the idea. Eileen had contacted me asking if I would be willing to hop on board with this event, knowing it was right up my alley.  She had wanted to create a Color Run for the kids and knowing that I have had plenty of experience with color runs, I was just the gal. I could not wait to get a hold of my contacts at The Color Run and start conversation.  It did not take long for them to want to reply and jump in on doing anything and…  Read More…

Uniquely Lorna Jane Is Here

Lorna Jane is in the house again {well my house anyway}.♥  I was so thrilled to have been contacted once again by Fit Approach and Uniquely Lorna Jane to receive and try another outfit.  If you have not heard of Lorna Jane, you will as she is heading this way and growing her brand from Australia to the U.S. I was given two pieces to try… the Mel Core Stability Tight and the Madi Excel Run Tank.  I love them both.  The top moves with me while running and since I am training for my first half marathon, running is a big deal right now, so is comfort.  The pants are AMAZING…oh my gosh, the way they fit just snug enough to hold me in place.  I love how the butt fits and picks me up {can I say that}? Again, as with all her pieces, each item has a…  Read More…

Lorna Jane Week Three Move Nourish Believe

This is it, the last week of the Lorna Jane Move Nourish Believe challenge.  The last three weeks have gone quickly and this has been a super fun challenge.  I have enjoyed so much following and sharing along with others who have joined in.  I am hoping that we have all inspired someone out there, to start Moving every day, Nourishing their own bodies properly {and their family} and Believing in their own goals and dreams. ♥ To re-cap briefly… Week One was Move Week Two was Nourish This was the week to “Believe” and just stop and enjoy and take care of ourselves.  Sometimes, this is more difficult than it sounds, since life gets busy, schedules get crazy, stress creeps in and then time goes by and we start over another day.  I really took time to notice what was around me all the time and I embraced it….  Read More…
