The Love Story

The “love story” is usually something you read about in a book.  The fairytale that has the princess finding her prince and living happily ever after.  It is played out on a big screen for us to watch, while holding that large bucket of popcorn in our laps and wiping tears from our eyes with our sleeves.  The love story is something you hear about while sitting around the family table reminiscing about your grandparents.  A love story can be the most simple or the most grand of stories.  I often wonder if people really do just stop and take in the moments, embrace what is around them.  Who do they have in their lives to appreciate.  I take note of exactly what I have and I thank God for it and embrace it. Moms And The Journey

Mother’s Day is here and it is a bittersweet day.  The day to really reflect on our journey as moms.  Maybe reflect on our childhood and our mothers. Take a look at our relationships with our moms or the relationships we have with our own children.  This is a day that I embrace and look forward to on one hand as I get to wake with my kids {as everyday, only today the energy in the house is somewhat giddy and exciting}  but on the other hand, I am filled with sadness and loss from my own relationship with my mother.
