Those Moments…

One of my most fave moments in a day are the one’s when my children are being with themselves.   You know, that quiet time when the electronics are off, the t.v. is off, the bickering stops and it is just peaceful.  The house may not be together, the laundry is piled up either dirty waiting to be washed or clean and waiting to be put away, dishes are in the sink waiting for the transition to the machine, maybe the floors need cleaning.  But I have learned to stop and enjoy and embrace these moments. The house will be waiting for me, my children are growing fast every day.   We can live and enjoy life with what we have and know that family time is much more valuable than a new IPhone or Playstation. Moms And The Journey

Mother’s Day is here and it is a bittersweet day.  The day to really reflect on our journey as moms.  Maybe reflect on our childhood and our mothers. Take a look at our relationships with our moms or the relationships we have with our own children.  This is a day that I embrace and look forward to on one hand as I get to wake with my kids {as everyday, only today the energy in the house is somewhat giddy and exciting}  but on the other hand, I am filled with sadness and loss from my own relationship with my mother.
