Mango Kale Green Juice

Smoothies are always so good, but something about summer and the warm weather really makes smoothie time so much more fun.  I love incorporating seasonal fruit into any “green juice” smoothie.  Here is the latest using all fresh ingredients … Mango Kale Green Juice Ingredients 1/4 cup Fresh Cut Kale 1/4 cup Fresh Rainbow Chard 1/2 Citrus Orange 1 Banana 1/2 cup Fresh Cut Mango 16 oz HINT “unsweet” Blood Orange Water Ice Adding @hintwater to #greenjuice is brilliant Click To Tweet Normally I use coconut water for almost all smoothies, but HINT has so many great options with their “unsweet” water, I love adding them.  Keeping fresh greens in the house is made easy when buying them in ready made bags.  Freezing greens is great also if you are not using them right away.  Enjoy ♥ *Note* Affiliate links are in this post.  I was not compensated by HINT…  Read More…

Puritan’s Pride Seasonal Smoothie and Giveaway

Smoothies are so great no matter what time of the year.  I love making a smoothie for a pre-run or post-run quick meal.  I make smoothies for the kids for a quick addition to their breakfast in the morning, an afternoon snack after school.  Smoothies even make for a great dessert in the evening.  With so many options out there to make and come up with, it sure helps when I have Puritan’s Pride and their products to get creative.   I have been lucky enough to join Puritan’s Pride and their three month smoothie campaign.  While I make and share my own recipes, I look forward to seeing yours. For the next three months, I am partnered with Puritan’s Pride to create and share my own smoothie recipes and how I incorporate them with protein powders and superfoods-based products. Blueberry and Watermelon Smoothie

Watermelon is in this house the entire season, we can’t get enough.  When I was a kid, my grandmother used to cut, cube and remove the seeds from our watermelon and place it in a bowl for us to have as a snack.  This is now the way I make and prepare watermelon for my kids.  This latest smoothie recipe has watermelon in it and the melon gives is just enough of a sweetness {almost sugar like} but without added sugar. Blueberry, Melon and Banana Smoothie Ingredients … 1/2 cup fresh blue berries {I freeze my fresh berries} 2 bananas 1/4 cup watermelon Ice 1 cup Almond Milk {zero sugar} Add all ingredients into blender or vita mix and blend until smooth.  Pour and enjoy a perfect smoothie for a summer afternoon, for the kids or even a breakfast on the go. ♥ *Do you take the seeds out of…  Read More…

#Move Nourish Believe Challenge with Lorna Jane Week Two

I am so jazzed to have been invited to join and participate in the Lorna Jane Move Nourish Believe Challenge for the month of February along with Fit Approach.  We are breaking down the challenge into three parts. Move {week one} Nourish {week two} Believe {week three} Although I like to think that I am a pretty “active” gal generally, this challenge is fun because I get to join other amazing women out there and help hold one another accountable and support each other.  So when we did the Move week one, I felt like it was pretty easy for me. Time to Nourish the body… This week was so fun for me!  I am a huge “foodie” so creating my meals is easy.  As long as we shop smart, we can always feed our bodies super healthy and keep our food real. ♥ I don’t eat red meat nor…  Read More…
