Let’s Do Eight Weeks Of Pure Barre

In case you did not know, I am a Pure Barre fan and have completed my first month of this workout a few weeks ago.  Which brings me to the next stage…the next 8 weeks.  I am sharing my journey and there will tears, sweat, burning legs, fired up thighs and heavy tucking going on.  So with that said and out of the way, let me start… PURE BARRE is It is my bodies new fave workout It is trendy and hip It is warm inside the studio {I have spent the last year and half outdoors, so this is a nice change} I don’t need to carry any equipment with me I get to wear flip flops to class {because we slip right into socks} I don’t have to bundle myself in hats, gloves, scarves, thermals I don’t have a long drive {seriously, I could actually jog or walk…  Read More…

My Month At The Barre

Okay so if you had seen my post a few weeks back I had written that our small town of Sonoma, CA officially welcomed its first Pure Barre Studio.  I was super jazzed about this because I had read about the program and have actually connected with women from Southern California who swear by it.  I have completed my first month trying Pure Barre out and I don’t even know where to start as I write, as I am pretty excited. Sonoma Has A New Barre

So it looks like we Sonoma has its very own Pure Barre Studio.  What does this mean?  Well for starters, we are catching up with the trend.  I know that I personally am super jazzed because I have always wanted to know just what the buzz was all about, since I have read and followed so many fitness gals from all over who seem to love this particular workout.  Before I even go on, I have a confession to make, I really never knew exactly how this was pronounced, so upon meeting Meg {the studio’s owner}, I had to right away just come out and ask, “is it Pure {Bar-Ray} or is it Pure {Bar}.  The latter is the appropriate. Back To Boot Camp and I Was Grumpy…

Well we are back from “recovery” week and starting a new session at boot camp.  Wait, I have to be honest I did NOT get to class Monday because, well because I was a lazy pansy and just did not do it.  Now for the present day {Tuesday} the class time was 5:30 a.m. and as I headed to bed Monday night I was just giddy with joy that I was going back and kicking ass bootie.  All was good until 4:45 a.m when it happened, the alarm clock.  Ughh, the alarm clock!  NO, no, no….take me back to recovery week.  Momma does NOT want to get up and move.   I should have known by my mood when I hit the button that I was headed out for one grumpy journey. I fell in love…..with Bootcamp

I have tried most every type of workout there is, I have taken almost every class possible and have been a member of quite a few gyms.  This has been years of trial and error, of starting and stopping, keeping up with the latest and newest, etc. It was not until I decided one day to contact Tiffany over a North Bay Adventure Boot Camp and see if I could “try out” the boot camp experience.  I have heard so much and follow many who seem to like it, that I thought “why not”?  Tiffany and I chatted and she was kind enough to give me a one month trial.  I attended the new session nutrition class/meeting and welcome group.  I knew the moment I met her face to face, that I found the perfect match.  Tiffany has the most out-going and welcoming personality.  Her enthusiasm along with my enthusiasm was…  Read More…
